Introduction
My name is Dick Everhart. I’ve worked for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service for the last 30 years. I will be updating you on coldwater conservation projects in Northwest North Carolina. I’m excited about the number of conservation programs and grant opportunities available to landowners in 2009. I plan on passing on to you the details of these programs and how you can encourage landowners to participate. These programs offer both technical and financial assistance to private landowners to protect and improve streams on their property. I look forward to filling you in on opportunities to promote and participate in coldwater conservation in Northwest North Carolina.
